UFC 255: Embedded Returns, Shogun Rua Back In Action, More

UFC 255 is an interesting card this coming Saturday for many reasons.

First, both the men’s and women’s flyweight titles will be on the line live from the UFC [1] Apex in Las Vegas on pay-per-view.

But the card also features the return of former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. One of the all-time legends in the sport for his style and battles, Rua’s days are likely getting shorter and shorter.

As we draw closer and closer to fight night, here’s some of the latest video offerings by the UFC spotlighting the event:

UFC 255 Embedded: Episode One

Brandon Moreno watches fights and gazes at cookies. Champ Deiveson Figueiredo gets to Vegas with a KO on his mind. Champ Valentina Shevchenko shares a family photo album, ready to make sister history. Cynthia Calvillo takes her best friend to the park.

UFC 255 Embedded: Episode Two

Valentina and Antonina Shevchenko sharpen their tools at a Vegas gym. Brandon Moreno embraces the spotlight. Champ Deiveson Figueiredo and opponent Alex Perez check in to the hotel. Cynthia Calvillo prepares to put on a grappling clinic in the Octagon.

Fighter Timeline: Shogun Rua

Top Finishes: Alex Perez

UFC flyweight Alex Perez will be the first fighter that earned a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series, which Perez did during Season 1 in 2017, to compete for a title when he faces Deiveson Figueiredo in the main event of UFC 255.

Free Fight: Jennifer Maia Vs. Joanne Calderwood

Early this year in August, Jennifer Maia took advantage of her opportunity against Joanne Calderwood and earned a shot at the flyweight title and Valentina Shevchenko. Maia takes on Shevchenko in the co-main event of UFC 255 on Saturday, November 21.
