Jorge Masvidal

Jorge Masvidal fled from Cuba with his family to find a home in the United States.

Masvidal has risen to the top of the mixed martial arts world, competing for the UFC. He has been placed in the main event and headlined several cards during his career.

However, only recently did Masvidal do something special for the first time.

He voted.

I never voted for #POTUS before. I humbly voted for the first time for (Donald Trump) to stop the spread of socialism,” Masvidal posted on Twitter Tuesday. “To keep our taxes down. To bring back our troops. To bring back our jobs. To keep gas prices down. To protect our freedom #thereelection.”

On The Campaign Trail

Over the past several weeks, Masvidal has been on the campaign trail for Trump and his re-election team. Trump is in the middle of attempting to defeat Joe Biden and earn four more years in the White House.

Masvidal, along with other fighters, were part of a “Fighters Against Socialism” campaign through Florida to rally support for the current President of the United States.

He also was featured in the YouTube takeover in the days leading up to Election Night.

During the video, Masvidal explains why Trump has earned the Latino vote this November in his race against Joe Biden, who served as the Vice President during Barack Obama’s presidency.

Masvidal details how he feels Trump has kept his promise to the Hispanic community. He also takes shots at Biden and other Democrats for taking the Latino community for granted.

He is far from the only prominent member of the UFC to support Trump. UFC president Dana White has long been an ally for him.

The history between the two dates back several years when Trump allowed the UFC to set up the Octagon in his hotels.
