Tim Tebow lives a faithful life devoted to the Word of Jesus. In a Christlike move, the Christian athlete took the shoes off his own feet to give to someone need at a homeless shelter.

Recently, Tebow went to St. Vincent de Paul in Phoenix to give shoes to people who are homeless. Obviously shoes are of tremendous importance to anyone, but they are imperative to someone battling the elements. It’s something most of us take for granted.

The quarterback-turned-baseball player went to the Catholic organization with 50 pair of shoes to gift.

He met with the people in need there and handed out the shoes. But, there was a big problem. There were more people in need than pairs of shoes.

Faced with this dilemma, Tebow made a quick and selfless decision that will make you pause.

The Heisman trophy winner took the shoes off his own feet and gave the to someone who needed them more.

He can always get another pair. However, these people do not have that option. This is a completely Christlike move.

Tebow took it one step further, too. He was bothered that not everyone got a pair of shoes. So, this celebrated athlete took down information for the remaining people and promised to provide them all with appropriate footwear.

This superstar athlete stands out from his peers as an example and role model of how to treat others.

He goes above and beyond what people recognize as being a charitable person.

Tebow holds annual “Night To Shine” proms for people with special needs. And, he helps people who have severe medical needs. This do-gooder even helps orphans.

A True Christian Role Model

Tim Tebow has taken chapters out of the Bible and applied them to his life.

He spreads the love of Jesus by sharing Bible verses on social media and by behaving humbly and giving generously.

Giving away the shoes off his own feet is a tremendous example of that.

Everyone at St. Vincent de Paul was incredibly moved by this gesture.

By removing and donating his shoes, Tim Tebow proved that he understood the struggles they encounter. He wanted to provide relief even if it meant he would be walking out of there barefoot.

“If you ask me, or many of our guests, Tim has gone from professional athlete to super hero in just a few years,” St. Vincent de Paul, CEO Steve Zabilski said. “His actions off the field are as impressive as any last-minute touchdown pass, or game-winning home run. I think we all can agree on that.”
