Bellator 249 Results: Cris Cyborg Dominates, Defends Her Title

Cris Cyborg showed off her incredible skills once again Thursday night at Bellator 249.

The reigning Bellator featherweight champion dominated challenger Arlene Blencowe, earning a second round submission.

Cyborg’s bout was the main event on CBS Sports Network while also streaming live on DAZN.

The finish came just over two minutes into the round as Cyborg locked up a rear-naked choke.

While that fight went down, the card was hit hard when Patricky Freire’s bout with Jeleel Willis was scratched hours before it was to take place. Freire’s team cited a medical issue not related to the novel coronavirus for the decision.

Leandro Higo earned a key win, submitting Ricky Bandejas in the second round with a rear-naked choke.

Steve Mowry finished Shawn Teed with the Saad Awad-Mandel Nallo bout being stopped early due to an accidental groin strike. The lightweight contest was declared a no-contest.
