Johnny Walker absorbed some heavy shots while doing so, but the light heavyweight contender returned to the win column tonight at UFC Vegas 11, by taking out Ryan Spann.
Round one
Walker planted a hard leg kick to begin the fight but Spann countered with a takedown. Walker got back to his feet and after a battle along the cage, Spann cracked him with a booming left. Walker went down and took a few more shots, but he managed to recover. Both men scored with hard shots in the ensuing scramble and Spann shot down in for a takedown. Walker hurt Spann badly with elbows to the side of the head, and a few moments later, the fight was stopped.
Huge comeback win for Walker.
