Rose McGowan Alyssa Milano call 911 police squirrelgate

Former “Charmed” actress Rose McGowan is having a laugh at the expense of her former costar turned radical leftwing activist, Alyssa Milano, over a 911 call that her neighbors later dubbed “Squirrelgate”.

Earlier this week, we reported that Milano called 911 to her lavish gated community on Sunday claiming that there was a gunman near her home. The actress has since denied making the call, saying it was her husband who called police.

This “gunman” ended up being a teenager using an air gun to shoot squirrels, which inspired the term “squirrelgate”.

Rose McGowan Calls Out Alyssa Milano For “Squirrelgate”

Of course, McGowan couldn’t let this opportunity to rib Milano pass her by. So she took to Twitter to point out the irony of the lead “defund the police” advocate turning lead “Karen” at the first sign of trouble.

“Who is the Leader of Karens? Alyssa Milano,” McGowan posted in a tweet that she has since deleted. She originally wrote this alongside a headline that read in part,  “Alyssa Milano calls 911.”

“Karen” has become a derogatory term for a demanding, middle-aged white woman who has overbearing and entitled tendencies.

Alyssa Milano Claims Her Husband Called 911

McGowan likely deleted the tweet after Milano contested reports that she was the 911 caller. Milano released a statement on Twitter to correct the record.

Her statement claims that a neighbor called the police after spotting “a man dressed in all black, walking in the woods between our properties with a gun”. Which she remarks is “a rare sight in our parts.”

However, she went on to add that her husband called the police “to check on when police would be arriving.”

Milano has devoted much of the past few months to publicly fighting to defund the police.

Yet here she actually defends her hypocritical actions by claiming that a potential gunman is an appropriate reason to call the police.

“These are exactly the type of situations that police officers are trained for and should be responding to, and we will always support police having the resources they need for appropriate policing actions,” she said.

“We’d love to see equally trained non-police professionals respond to addiction and mental health crises and non-violent events so that these brave officers can do the jobs they are so good at handling, as they demonstrated this weekend,” Milano added.

The former “Who’s The Boss” actress also defended herself on Twitter, where she alleged that she she “never called the police,” calling claims that she had “a lie.”

“But I would have if I saw a guy with a gun in my backyard,” Milano added.

“Karen” Doesn’t Get It

Rose McGowan sees right through Alyssa Milano. She sees what her former “Charmed” costar cannot in this who “Squirrelgate” fiasco.

Whether Alyssa Milano herself called the police or technically had her husband do it is not really relevant here.

The reality is that when her family felt like they were in danger, despite living in a lush gated community, they immediately ran to the police.

The Milanos called on police to put their lives on the line to protect their family and their elite neighbors. Even after openly and repeatedly putting out anti-police rhetoric and calls to defund them.

Most of us do not live in an affluent gated community like Milano. We depend on an our local police to protect our streets.

It’s unfortunate that Milano is more focused on the semantics of who called rather than the real lesson here.

This should be an Aha! moment for the 47 year old .

We all need the police. Even the Hollywood elite. So maybe it’s time she rethink her long-running campaign to “defund the police”.
