UFC Dana White Trump

The re-election campaign trail for United States President Donald Trump took a turn through UFC-country with Dana White present.

Trump held a rally in Henderson, Nevada Sunday night that included White, interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje and former interim champion Colby Covington.

White, Gaethje and Covington have all been outspoken in support of Trump.

And, at the same time, Trump has been supportive of White and his promotion.

“He’s an incredible guy, and you know, he also loves his fighters,” Trump said of White. “He wants to take care of his fighters.”

Earlier this year, White was one of the keynote speakers at the Republican National Convention. Trump was nominated by the group during that event.

“He is one of the most loyal human beings I have ever met,” White said. “The man has unstoppable energy.”

Henry Cejudo, a former double champion in the UFC and Olympic gold medalist, was also in attendance. Cejudo announced his retirement earlier this year.

“These are not people you want to pick a fight with,” Trump said of the fighters. “Because under those beautiful suits are a lot of muscle, a lot of power, a lot of genius for fighting and other things.”

Trump Plans On Watching UFC Fights

Gaethje is set to face Khabib Nurmagomedov to unify the UFC lightweight titles later this year in October. Covington, meanwhile, returns to action this Saturday night against long-time rival Tyron Woodley.

“We’re going to be watching,” White said. “(The Gaethje-Khabib fight) is right before the election, but I think I’m going to be watching. You better believe it. It’s going to be an incredible fight.”

Members of Trump’s family were present for Covington’s fight earlier this year.

“The POTUS will be tuned into ESPN to watch me at UFC Vegas 11 this Saturday night,” Covington wrote on social media. “How about you snowflakes?”

During the event, Trump held a fundraiser with White and a group of fighters.
