Meghan McCain Shares Sweet Birth Announcement – See Her Baby’s Patriotic Name

Fans of conservative television personality Meghan McCain are rejoicing today after she announced that she has given birth to her first child with her husband, conservative writer Ben Domenech. The baby’s name is Liberty Sage McCain Domenech.

“Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the wonderful well wishes and overwhelming kindness,” McCain tweeted. “Ben and I are completely and utterly in love with our daughter and feeling indescribably blessed/blissed out. We will be watching her first debate as a family together tonight!”

Meghan McCain’s Pregnancy

Entertainment Tonight reported that McCain had announced she was pregnant in March.

That was nine months after she was open about suffering a devastating miscarriage. She has said that her pregnancy journey has been bittersweet during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“There’s just a lot of people in a lot of pain right now,” she explained on her show. “I just keep trying to remind myself that people have had babies in much worse and much more intense conditions and this is just how it’s going to be for awhile.”

McCain said in May that she would be keeping details about her pregnancy private.

She decided to do that largely because of the negative reaction from liberal trolls online after her father, Republican Senator John McCain, died in 2018.

“Ben and I have made the conscious decision to guard our (growing) families [sic] privacy as much as is possible,” McCain said. “I believe children have a right to privacy and hope you will all understand as we navigate this as much as possible going forward without sacrificing our comfort or safety.”

“A bunch of inhumane jacka**es have really ruined so much for so many on social media and I learned a lot of hard lessons about cruelty that comes with being open and vulnerable about my personal life during my Dad’s cancer fight,” she continued.

Sweet Thank You To Husband Ben Domenech

Though she followed through with keeping many details about her pregnancy private, McCain did take to Instagram in June to thank her husband Ben Domenech for supporting her through her pregnancy.

She and Ben got married in 2017.

“Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my bloated, knocked up, swollen, pandemic navigating self,” she posted on Instagram. “I don’t know what I would do these days without such a strong, loving partner.”

Given the childish behavior she’s had to deal with on “The View” from cohosts like Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, McCain seems more prepared than anyone for motherhood!
