People stay in touch all the time after they change jobs…so do Vince McMahon and Chris Jericho still talk, now that Jericho is in AEW? And, we are hearing that there are big Drew McIntyre plans in WWE.
Do Vince McMahon & Chris Jericho Talk
It is not at all uncommon for former co-workers to stay in touch…but do Vince McMahon and Chris Jericho still talk?
As it turns out, per Chris Jericho himself, he does still stay in touch with The Boss.
Jericho talked a lot about who he does-and does not-stay in touch with. For the most part, it surely seems he remains on good terms with plenty of Superstars.
In the grand scheme of things, it makes sense for several reasons.
One, there are a finite number of elite stars, and once you make friends in that group, it makes sense that those friendships last a lifetime.
Two, even if Chris Jericho passed on a return to WWE, in favor of taking a chance with AEW, no one remaining in WWE seems to hold it against him.
The former WWE Champion spoke at length about his lingering WWE relationships on his latest Saturday Night Special on YouTube.
Aside from still talking to Vince McMahon, Chris Jericho mentioned that he occasionally talks to guys like Samoa Joe, Seth Rollins and Edge.
While they all talk, he did make one important note. While everyone may talk and be on good terms, it’s not as though they are in constant contact, on account of everyone being plenty busy.
Still, it’s nice to see the lines of communication remain open, especially between Chris Jericho and Vince McMahon. In the short term, who Jericho talks with could help AEW.
Long term, however, could ensure the door remains open for a WWE curtain call.
Big Drew McIntyre Plans
It is looking more and more like WWE has big Drew McIntyre plans lined up for somewhere down the line.
If you haven’t noticed, McIntyre and current boxing champion Tyson Fury have been sparring via social media. On one hand, the pokes and jabs could just be good fun.

However, according to the Wrestling Observer, this is not likely just casual chatter about who could beat who.
Specifically, the suggestion is that neither Tyson Fury nor Drew McIntyre would be constantly stoking the fires on this feud if there wasn’t something in the works.
This is the latest in the Fury saga with WWE. Recently, reports surfaced indicating that WWE was naturally still interested in Fury.
However, interest in the boxing champion comes with a price, and it may be a price only a select few events could justify (namely, a Saudi event, or WrestleMania).
The Observer is implying that the way things are going, with the two pushing each other’s buttons, that a deal is very nearly done, or should be soon.
In the world of wrestling, especially WWE, if things like what Drew McIntyre and Tyson Fury are doing aren’t scripted yet, they soon may be.
