Colin Kaepernick George Clooney Breonna Taylor decision grand jury Louisville

Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick wasted no time in using the grand jury’s decision in the Breonna Taylor case to push his own radical leftwing social justice agenda. Hollywood actor George Clooney also weighed in on the Breonna Taylor decision as someone who was born in Kentucky.

Colin Kaepernick Uses Breonna Taylor Decision To Shame America

On Wednesday, a grand jury decided not to charge police officers involved in the fatal shooting of Breonna Taylor, a 26 year-old black woman who died in March of this year.

The Louisville jury concluded that Taylor’s boyfriend Kenneth Walker had opened fire on police first, leaving the officer with no choice but to return fire.

However, this fact has not stopped leftists from declaring Taylor’s death to be an injustice, or racially motivated shooting. Nor have they ceased their ongoing calls for the officers involved to be charged with her murder.

Of course, NFL player turned social justice figurehead Colin Kaepernick was quick to weigh in on the grand jury’s decision.

“The white supremacist institution of policing that stole Breonna Taylor’s life from us must be abolished for the safety and well being of our people,” Kaepernick tweeted.

Though the grand jury did charge Officer Brett Hankison with three counts of wanton endangerment, this was for shots that were fired at a neighbor’s home, not for anything related to Taylor’s death specifically.

George Clooney Speaks Out On Breonna Taylor Decision

Colin Kaepernick is far from the only celebrity to speak out about Taylor’s death.

After the grand jury decision came in, Hollywood star George Clooney, who is also from Kentucky, spoke out.

“I was born and raised in Kentucky. Cut tobacco on the farms of Kentucky. Both my parents and my sister live in Kentucky. I own a home in Kentucky, and I was there last month,” Clooney told The Hollywood Reporter.

“The justice system I was raised to believe in holds people responsible for their actions,” he added. “Her name was Breonna Taylor and she was shot to death in her bed by 3 white police officers, who will not be charged with any crime for her death.”

Much like Kaepernick, Clooney’s tweet acknowledges the tragedy of Breonna Taylor’s death. Yet fails to mention the contributing circumstances.

Kentucky Attorney General Issues Warning

Once the decision came in, Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron issued a very specific warning.

He addressed his warning to “celebrities, influencers, and activists who having never lived in Kentucky”. Saying they “will try to tell us how to feel, suggesting they understand the facts of this case and that they know our community and the commonwealth better than we do.”

“But they don’t,” AG Cameron continued.

Well, Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron was right.

Sadly, celebrities like Colin Kaepernick and George Clooney are far too full of themselves to take the Attorney General’s advice.

They couldn’t let a golden opportunity like this to attack both America and police officers all at once go to waste.

Their actions show no regard for any consequences that might befall police or the city of Louisville in response to their calls.

These Hollywood elite know the power and influence they hold. And knowingly wield it with wanton disregard.

It’s ironic. They fight to hold police to a higher standard. One that they themselves ignore.
