Anthony Smith and Aleksandar Rakic are booked for a high stakes fight tomorrow at UFC Vegas 8, and that was apparent at today’s weigh-ins.
In tomorrow’s main event, Aleksandar Rakic will battle fellow light heavyweight contender, Anthony Smith.
The 32-year-old Smith (33-15) is hoping to return to the win colum, as the former title challenger was stopped by Glover Teixeira in May. Smith, who has gone 3-2 in his last 5 bouts, was coming off a submission win over Alexander Gustafsson prior to that.
The 28-year-old Rakic (12-2), meanwhile, is also coming off a loss, as he dropped a split decision to Volkan Oezdemir last December. The defeat snapped his 12 fight winning streak.
