Alexander Volkanovski Tells Dana White to Take “Pitbull’s” Bet

Patricio “Pitbull” recently made headlines by challenging Dana White to put up $1 million dollars, for a bet he would beat the UFC’s champs. Well, since then, Alexander Volkanovski has told his boss to put the money down.

Volkanovski responds to “Pitbull’s” challenge

All this started not long ago, when White claimed he didn’t know enough about “Pitbull” to offer an opinion on him as a fighter. If you follow Bellator, you know that “Pitbull (Freire) holds the promotion’s lightweight and featherweight titles, and he’s widely regarded as one of the most dangerous fighters on the planet.

Well, White’s comments prompted a fiery response from “Pitbull”, who reminded White that he took out Michael Chandler in just 61 seconds (White has expressed an interest in meeting with the former Bellator champ and pending free agent).

“Pitbull” also dared White to bet $1 one million dollars on super fights featuring Freire versus UFC champs.

That prompted the following response from the UFC’s featherweight champ, Volkanovski.

Easiest money you will ever make @danawhite, let’s make it happen

“Pitbull” fires back

Not surprisingly, it wasn’t long before the outspoken “Pitbull” had fired back at Volkanovski.

“I’ll remember those words after I knock you out. Put your money where your mouth is @danawhite @ufc. Let’s go @ScottCoker @BellatorMMA”

@alexvolkanovski just so u know U are fighting Pitbull the fighter not the rapper. I’m glad u recovered from ur cauliflower pussy. @danawhite it wud be my pleasure 2take ur $, I’ll even pay 4 Alex The Average’s hospital bills. It wud B an Honor to wear Max Holloway’s Belt. #LFG

Now, all this makes for interesting reading and there’s no doubt  a lot of people would love to see these two fight. But, the chances of it happening while both men are signed with different promotions, are slim to none.

There’s a good chance Bellator would be on board, as the additional exposure could help their brand, especially if “Pitbull” won. But, since the UFC is already the biggest MMA organization in the world, they likely don’t want to risk having one of their stars losing to a Bellator champ.
