Zabit Magomedsharipov may be a terrifying monster in the Octagon, but the featherweight contender clearly has quite a sense of humor.

Magomedsharipov turns to ‘Home Alone’ to welcome Timur Valiev to the UFC

Recently it was reported by MMA Junkie that the UFC has signed Timur Valiev and that he’ll face Jamall Emmers in a featherweight fight on August 1st. If your MMA diet is solely UFC based, you may not know that Valiev (16-) was regarded as one of the best bantamweights and featherweights in the sport, who wasn’t signed to the UFC.

Well, Magomedsharipov trains with the 30-year-old, Dagestani fighter and the two are evidently pals. Recently Zabit shared out the post below to welcome Timur to the promotion, while paying homage to ‘Home Alone’.

Valiev hasn’t fought since last July, when he defeated Bekbulat Magomedov by decision at a PFL card.

Magomedsharipov’s next fight

While it looks like Valiev’s next bout is lined up, it’s not clear what’s next for Magomedsharipov (18-1). The Dagestani contender is coming off a decision win over Calvin Kattar in November.
