Marquette university freshman Samantha Pfefferle admissions Trump TikTok video

An incoming Marquette freshman is learning that conservatives are not very welcomed on the Wisconsin campus. The university is threatening to rescind freshman Samantha Pfefferle’s admission because she supports President Donald Trump. A TikTok video expressing her views on Trump prompted the private Catholic, Jesuit university’s scrutiny.

Marquette Incoming Freshman Samantha Pfefferle’s Pro-Trump TikTok Video

Pfefferle posted a TikTok video titled “When the libs find their way to your page.” The Marquette freshman is seen dancing around as “When people see that I support Trump,” “Then try to hate on me,” and “And think I’ll change my views” are captioned.

College campuses are hotbeds of liberal activity. There is a definite bias in teaching style but this situation is even worse than that. You might not expect the same from a Catholic, Jesuit university – but apparently Marquette is not immune.

Here a conservative student is being openly targeted simply for not following leftwing groupthink.

A Trump campaign flag and bumper sticker are in the video as well as a sign that says Marquette 2024.

The rather benign TikTok video has been viewed over 600,000 and set off a firestorm within the Marquette community resulting in Pfefferle receiving death threats and other sort of harassment.

University Admissions Office Called Samantha Pfefferle To Question Her Conservative Views

The Jesuit college reached out to Pfefferle about her social media support of the Republican president. While, Jesuit colleges are traditionally open minded and encouraging of dialogue, that is not what the teenager encountered.

From The College Fix:

Pfefferle explained that following the TikTok, she was contacted by Brian Troyer, dean of undergraduate admissions at Marquette, who she said told her her acceptance to the school was far from certain.

“[He] had the heart to tell me I wasn’t a student,” Pfefferle said. “This means that my classification is still in limbo and is currently being decided by the administration. I have been accepted, I paid for my housing, I have my roommates, I even have a complete class schedule. If that doesn’t make me a student, what does?”

Some Marquette administrators also asked Pfefferle a series of questions meant to judge her morals, she said.

“They also asked me hypothetical questions regarding Dreamers,” she said. “How would I respond if a Dreamer who lived down the hall from me came up to me and told me she didn’t feel safe or comfortable with my views and me being on campus. They also asked me if they thought there was anything I could do to improve my image on campus. They proceeded to ask if I was comfortable with the reputation I have established for myself. The assistant dean asked if I put any thought into the response I would be getting from my videos.”

Is Marquette also doing this sort of questioning and intimidation to students who support ‘Defunding the Police’? Or, is their agitation only targeted at conservatives who respect the rule of law?

Freshman Unsure If She Wants To Attend Marquette University After Trump TikTok Video Incident

Some students have taken to social media demanding Pfefferle’s admissions offer be rescinded because LGBTQ and international students might feel threatened being on campus with such a conservative student.

The video is very basic and not inflammatory but some liberals need trigger warnings just for differing opinions.

As of now, Pfefferle is unsure if she will attend Marquette this fall. This experience has been jarring and unwelcoming to say the least.

She said:

“I still would like to attend Marquette University. However, because of the death threats, bullying, and harassment, this transition will be difficult to make. As of right now, I’m being left in the dark as to how Marquette is addressing the harassment.”

Indeed, miss Pfefferle. Cancel culture in America is destroying a lot more than just our college campuses.
