Kenny Omega takes swipe at WWE Chairman Vince McMahon

AEW is packed with wrestlers who have no love for Vince McMahon and the WWE. One of those wrestlers is Kenny Omega, who refused to join the company.

Kenny Omega Reveals His View On Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon makes his staff live in fear

Kenny Omega took to social media to reveal his thoughts on Vince McMahon. In fact, he claims Vince McMahon causes his staff to live in fear.

According to Omega’s tweet, WWE staff are in constant fear of Vince McMahon. Evidently, this does not make the best working environment.

The Story Behind The Claims

Rumors date back from the kota ibushi incident

Of course, there is a story behind Kenny Omega’s recent tweet. It all dates back to the incident with Kota Ibushi in 2016.

Kota Ibushi made his WWE debut as a participant in the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic. After signing his developmental contract, he high-fived a “big man.”

Unfortunately, the big man in question was Vince McMahon. Staff members were absolutely horrified and “really upset,” even though Kota did not know Vince.

As a result of the incident, Kota refused to sign a permanent contract with WWE. He eventually lost the classic to TJ Perkins.

Wrestlers Refuse To Join WWE Because Of Work Culture

There are many former WWE wrestlers who refuse to return to the company. After all, the fear culture in Vince McMahon’s company is undeniable among staff.

Current examples of wrestlers who left the company behind include Chris Jericho, Ryback, RVD, Tye Dillinger, and Jon Moxley. And we are sure there are more to follow.

The problem with WWE is that Vince McMahon has a specific way of doing things after several decades in the business. It’s his way or the highway so to speak.

Since Vince McMahon can rub people the wrong way and vice versa, it is hurting his business at this point. Nevertheless, Vince will not change for anyone.

Incidents such as the one with Ibushi are not single occurrences. There were countless incidents in the past, including one with Titus O’Neil.

Since Titus O’Neil dared to be too friendly with the boss during a taping, he has disappeared in the background. Now, his WWE work is limited to the Royal Rumble and charity appearances.

In other words, tread carefully if you work for the WWE. If you mess up with the boss, your WWE run is pretty much over.

AEW Providing A Better Alternative?

Things have been going well for AEW. There have been no real scandals and the company seems to have a much better culture.

As AEW is still in its infancy, there are some problems in terms of international expansion. While most can view the promotion through streaming, international merchandise sales are problematic.

With AEW growing, we are convinced that this will improve over time. Me and my other half cannot wait to see the AEW face masks in the United Kingdom.

For now, we have to buy from the AEW United States shop. But at the end of the day, it is the company I would rather support at this point in time.
