Alberto Del Rio – Sexual Assault Charges

Back in May, former WWE champion Alberto Del Rio was charged with sexual assault by his ex-girlfriend.

The girlfriend accused Del Rio of holding her for hours and assaulting her after claims of cheating. He was released on $50,000 bond at that time.

According to a recent report by PW Insider, no charges have been brought before a grand jury against Del Rio. He remains free on bond until that happens.

FOX San Antonio has details on the reported assault by Del Rio. They include the use of various objects used on the victim, marks on her neck from being choked and other visible injuries from being punched.

The 43-year-old Del Rio, real name Jose A. Rodriguez Chucuan, has also competed in MMA over the years. Charges include sexual assault and a second-degree felony.

Del Rio Made History With WWE

During his time in the WWE, Del Rio became the first Mexico-born wrestler to win the WWE title. He won both that belt and the world heavyweight title twice before leaving in 2014.

Del Rio was also the United States champion twice and won both Money in the Bank and the Royal Rumble in 2011.

This past December, he faced former UFC light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz inside the cage, losing via first round submission.

Regarded as an actor, producer and businessman, Johnson is the lone person to crack the $1 million mark. Kylie Jenner is second at $986,000 per post followed by soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo actually has more followers than Johnson with 225 million.

Johnson, who turned 48 years older earlier this year, is considered one of the highest-grossing actors of all-time. Basically, his films have made over $10.5 billion worldwide and over $3.5 billion in North America.

He held the WWE world title eight times and the WCW title twice, winning the 2000 Royal Rumble. His film resume includes lead roles in Jumanji, Hobbs & Shaw, Baywatch and Moana.
