WWE Upset Renee Young

Renee Young upset the big shots at WWE after revealing her positive COVID-19 test result. Also, Tessa Blanchard might sign with WWE following her Impact Wrestling firing.

WWE Upset At Renee Young

WWE took a major risk by still running their weekly TV shows out of Florida. As many predicted, their employees are now starting to test positive for COVID-19.

The number is said to be in double digits, but WWE will not release the names of those infected. Although, several people have come forward.

Renee Young, Kayla Braxton, Adam Pearce and Jamie Noble confirmed they have the virus. This also marks the second time Braxton has tested positive.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE was not pleased with Young making the information public. She started feeling ill on Monday, which caused her and Jon Moxley to undergo a test from their doctor.

After learning the results, both immediately contacted their place of work.

As of Thursday, neither Vince McMahon, Triple H, Kevin Dunn or Mark Carrano called to check on Young. But, several talents did reach out.

It is believed the worst has passed for Young. Her symptoms are decreasing, but there is no word on how long she will be out.

As of now, Young and Moxley are staying in separate parts of their Nevada house. Moxley did not test positive, but he decided to self-quarantine over safety concerns and to make sure Young was okay.

Moxley is set to defend the AEW World Championship during the second week of Fyter Fest. If he is unable to do so, the company will move the match to a future date.

Others In WWE Affected

There is concern over McMahon, Bruce Prichard and Ric Flair. All three worked the recent tapings and with their age, they are at high risk of catching the virus.

WWE also sent home Tyson Kidd on Thursday as he had a fever. To be safe, his wife Natalya was also sent home.

Neither has tested positive for the virus and the decision to send them home was a precaution.

With the virus spreading across WWE and possibly AEW, both promotions need to be extra careful. There continues to be pressure from wrestlers to release the names of those infected or cancel tapings.

Where Tessa Blanchard Might Sign

Tessa Blanchard Racism Sexism

Tessa Blanchard made history by becoming the first female to be Impact Wrestling World Champion. That ended a few days ago, as she was fired and stripped of the belt.

Impact Wrestling wanted Blanchard to cut some promos while stuck in Mexico, but she wanted more money. Neither side could come to an agreement, so Blanchard was let go.

As for Blanchard’s future, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio how WWE is interested. He could not say if AEW was also looking to sign the daughter of Tully Blanchard.

A big issue surrounding Blanchard is her past behavior. She was considered by some not easy to work with and there were racial allegations also made.

There is no word if Blanchard has a non-compete clause like some releases. Since she is stuck in Mexico, that might not matter as a travel ban remains in place.
