Erika Jayne Girardi police Son Real Housewives reality tv star

Erika Girardi, best known as Erika Jayne on the”Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” (RHOBH), just fired back at an online hater who dared to attack the reality television star’s son for being a police officer.

Reality TV Star Defends Her Police Officer Son

Like many other Instagram users, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Girardi shared a photo of a black square on Tuesday. Her #blackouttuesday post was in solidarity with those protesting the death of George Floyd, who died in police custody last week in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

When one commenter dared to tell the RHOBH star could not stand with the black community because her son is a cop, however, Girardi did not hesitate to unload.

“My son was brought up NOT to be racist. His job is to protect and serve ALL not just people that have his skin color,” she wrote. “F— you and stay off my page.”

Though Girardi typically tries to keep her son, Officer Tommy Zizzo, out of her life as a reality TV star, she did share a photo of him on Instagram earlier this month.

“People say we look alike,” she captioned the image. “No, you can’t comment.”

Reality TV Star Erika Girardi Is ‘Proud’ Of Her Son

Girardi later explained why she had chosen to proudly share this rare photo of her son in uniform during an interview with “Watch What Happens Live!” host Andy Cohen.

“I put him on Instagram and he’s my best-performing post,” she said. “He didn’t choose this life, I chose this life, and you try to protect them. I don’t care if he is an adult and he carries a gun and a badge. At the end of the day, he’s still my boy, but I posted it and I’m glad I did. He is a very fine young man and I’m so proud.”

“Real Housewives” fans will remember the season 7 episode in which Girardi became upset when fellow cast member Eileen Davidson tried to diffuse a situation between Girardi and another cast member by saying “she didn’t kill your child.”

Davidson’s flippant comment was the last straw for Girardi which escalated the situation rather than calming it.

“Don’t ever bring up killing my child again because my child could get killed,” Girardi responded. “Don’t ever bring up my kid again. Don’t ever do that. Eileen, your kid doesn’t put on a uniform every night, and put his life out on the line for people he doesn’t know.”

“That’s really insensitive,” she continued. “Your kid’s not out there. Don’t you ever talk about anyone that puts on a uniform and defends and serves their public. F— you for that. My son is under fire every night — especially in this climate. And I’m not going to tolerate that s— from any of you. My kid can very easily be killed and that is the truth that none of you face here.”

Police Officers Deserve Support Now More Than Ever

Since George Floyd’s death, hatred for police in America is at an all-time high. This tension puts the lives of our men and women in blue at risk like never before. That includes Girardi’s son, Tommy Zizzo.

Erika Girardi may be a reality TV star but she’s also a proud mom. We applaud the “Real Housewives” star for taking a stand for her son. She clearly has a a lot to be proud of with him, and we will keep her son in our prayers.
