Jane Fonda Megan Rapinoe John Legend Defund The Police

Academy Award winner Jane Fonda, US soccer star Megan Rapinoe, and singer John Legend are among the celebrities signing and promoting a petition to defund the police. But, the actions of these Hollywood elite extremists show just how out of touch they are from the average American. Particularly as dangerous riots erupt and spread across the country.

Jane Fonda, Megan Rapinoe, John Legend Push #DefundThePolice Movement

This #DefundThePolice movement follows on the heels of celebrities including Steve Carrell, Seth Rogen, and Chrissy Teigen pledging to ‘match’ each others donations to cover the bail for George Floyd protesters who break the law and get arrested.

The Defund The Police petition calls on local governments to slash police funding and direct that money to healthcare and education instead. But, as most law-abiding Americans realize, taking resources from police departments would lead to even more chaos.

Clearly that is what these radical Tinseltown types want.

Other celebrities to reportedly sign the open petition include Natalie Portman, Taraji P. Henson, Common, Lizzo, and The Weeknd.

These rich Hollywood types might be able to afford private security, but the rest of us can’t. Even private guards can only go so far, but these liberals can’t seem to understand that.

Hanoi Jane’s History With The Police And Military

Hanoi Jane has a history of actively and aggressively working against members of our military. Now, she is taking aim at the police who are sworn to protect us all, including her.

Who is Jane Fonda going to call if looters come to her house if she wants to defund the police? Perhaps she wants to defund the police because she continues getting arrested for her aggressive climate change protests.

This leftwing manifesto of sorts was also signed by musicians Lizzo, The Weeknd, and Common. It even make a massive stretch of reasoning by tying deaths from the coronavirus pandemic to police terror.

But you know every one of these hypocrites would be singing a different tune if rioters turned up on their doorstep. They’d dial 911 in a hurry.

‘Defund The Police’ Manifesto

“The COVID-19 deaths and the deaths caused by police terror are connected and consequential to each other,” the Defund The Police petition reads. “The United States does not have a national healthcare system. Instead, we have the largest military budget in the world, and some of the most well-funded and militarized police departments in the world, too.”

“Policing and militarization overwhelmingly dominate the bulk of national and local budgets,” it continues. “In fact, police and military funding has increased every single year since 1973, and at the same time, funding for public health decreased every year, crystallized most recently when the Trump administration eliminated the U.S. Pandemic Response Team in 2018, citing ‘costs.’”

This is an elitist manifesto being pushed by Hollywood leftists. They obviously know that most Americans can’t afford private security.

So do they not care about the safety, security, and well-being of those protected by the police every day? Who do they think looks out of the rest of us?

Megan, Hanoi Jane and their ilk want to strip us of our Second Amendment rights and banish the police who protect us.

All while they sit in their gated community and expect the rest of us to accept our lot as sitting ducks.

Not all cops are bad and not all celebrities are tone deaf. But this bunch takes the cake!
