Carrie Underwood & Mike Fisher Reveal How Faith Held Their Family Together In Raw New Video Series

Country music star Carrie Underwood and her husband, retired NHL center Mike Fisher, get raw and honest about their life, relationship, and their strong faith in a new video series. I Am Second released a 4-part series titled “Mike and Carrie: God & Country” that every Christian will want to watch.

This power couple seemingly has it all. Carrie found success in music while Mike enjoyed a long career in the NHL. But, like any couple, these two have their challenges.

Mike is a hunter while Carrie is a strict vegetarian. Mike wanted children while Carrie needed coaxing on the issue.

But, their belief in God always brings them together despite what can at time be big divides.

Carrie Underwood’s Miscarriages

Mike and Carrie struggled with infertility after the birth of their first child, Isaiah. The “American Idol” winner suffered multiple miscarriages which left her traumatized.

Then she had an honest conversation with God that she couldn’t do this anymore. She either needed to have a baby or she didn’t. The miscarriages were too much to handle.

After being pushed nearly to her breaking point, Carrie finally got pregnant and had a second son, Jacob.

The couple explores this very raw and personal subject along with how faith helped get them through.

I Am Second Launches “Mike and Carrie: God & Country” Video Series

In the first installment of the series, “I Cry Easy,” the couple details the beginning of their relationship and how they initially worked through their differences with the help of God.

This couple has made it work by having God be the center of their marriage. If you think Carrie is the one who cries easy, you are wrong. Mike admits that he is the softie.

That first installment can be watched in the video below.

Raising Christian Children

In the other three installments of “Mike and Carrie: God & Country”, this Christian couple don’t hold back. They discuss the effects of the miscarriages in greater detail, their life’s purpose, and their biggest fears.

They also share how they are raising their children to love God and Mike’s retirement from playing professional hockey. The center of it all is their faith which keeps them grounded and focused on their family.
