NFL Aaron Rodgers questions American lockdown and freedom

NFL star Aaron Rodgers just defied the radical left to send a brutal message to those who want coronavirus lockdowns to continue indefinitely and unchecked. The Green Bay Packers quarterback says Americans should be questioning our ‘house arrest’ and what freedoms remain.

Aaron Rodgers Blasts COVID-19 Lockdowns

In a new interview with iHeart Radio host Dan O’Donnell, Rodgers held nothing back as he blasted COVID-19 lockdowns.

The Super Bowl champ and two-time MVP equated the stay-at-home orders to to house arrest and went so far as to question what freedoms we as Americans even have left “at this point.”

Rodgers didn’t mince words during his interview:

For many of us–and I’ve seen a lot of comments on this and obviously my story coming back from Peru before the country kind of went into a lockdown–I think we all were buying into the idea of quarantine to flatten the curve and I think there are a lot of questions now that it’s more of a house arrest to find a cure with people wondering exactly what that means as far as the future of the country and the freedoms we’re allowed to have at this point.

Fox News reported that Rodgers was in Peru when coronavirus really began to spread like wildfire, and he was lucky enough to make it back to the United States before the full lockdowns began.

Aaron Rodgers Says We Have Bigger Problems To Worry About Than Football

Football fans are eager to know whether or not the NFL start of the season will be impacted by the pandemic in the fall.

While the league has said they are scheduled to go forward on-time and as planned, Rodgers says that we as Americans have bigger problems to worry about right now.

“I’m very hopeful that we can have a [football] season,” Rodgers said.

“I think the important thing to think about, though, which is more important than that, is the state of the country and the fact that we have 36-plus million people on unemployment right now, we have rising poverty levels to go along with the unemployment, you have suicide hotline is up 8,000 percent.”

“There’s really a lot of problems going on in the country right now associated with the fear around this pandemic,” Rodgers added.

“And I hope that we can use some common sense moving forward and make decisions that are going to be in the best interest of all people moving forward, and I hope that sports is a part of that at some point.”

Americans Need To Protect Our Freedoms

Clearly, Rodgers has a better head on his shoulders than most celebrities and professional sports stars!

Over the past few months, leaders across the country have used this pandemic to strip Americans of their rights like never before.

While we need to worry about the COVID-19 pandemic, we also need to worry about protecting the freedoms that our forefathers fought and died for us to have.
