Justin Gaethje has been tapped to fight for an interim lightweight title at UFC 249, and recently the promotion shared out a highlight reel package as to why.

On account of a three-fight winning streak, which saw Gaethje run through James Vick, Edson Barboza and Donald Cerrone, the former WSOF champ is facing Tony Ferguson for the interim belt on May 9th.

Recently the UFC posted the video below, which documents Gaethje’s four, thrilling wins to date in the Octagon.

Ferguson was originally supposed to fight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in the headliner of UFC 249. But, due to a coronavirus travel ban, Nurmagomedov was stranded in Russia, and since then he’s begun observing Ramadan.
