violent offenders released amid coronavirus

Some elected officials are trading the health and safety of the general public to protect the worst of society. As coronavirus spread, left-wing advocates pushed for the early release of some prisoners, including the release of sexual offenders. Now law abiding citizens must not only face off against coronavirus in their cities and towns but also an influx of violent criminals and sexual predators.

Depraved Pedophile Released From Prison To Protect HIM From Coronavirus

Glenn Christie was serving two years for violating the terms of his 10-year probation for repeatedly violating a boy who was only 12 years old.

Despite his horrifying abuses against the child, Christie was released in order to protect him from coronavirus.

That’s right, folks. A judge a set a child rapist free so that he doesn’t contract a virus in prison that he could also get outside of prison.

From PJ Media:

The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled earlier this week that some prisoners can be released from state jails and prisons to prevent the spread of the coronavirus amongst prison populations. One such prisoner who was released was 54-year-old Glenn Christie, who was convicted of child rape and indecent assault on a child under 14 years of age. According to WBUR, Massachusetts’ NPR station, “Christie has several health issues and is confined to a wheelchair.” One of Christie’s roommates died from the coronavirus, but Christie has tested negative.

Christie is reportedly in poor health and in a wheelchair. This pulled on the heartstrings of the bleeding heart judge who allowed him refuge outside of the prison.

Apparently the judge’s consideration did not extend as far as Christie’s victim, who now has more than just coronavirus to fear. The monster who caused caused him a lifetime of trauma is now back on the streets.

Let’s also remember that this pedophile was healthy enough to violate the terms of his probation which is how he ended up with the two-year sentence he was serving.

Lawyer Celebrates Prison Release On Coronavirus Grounds

Christie’s lawyer David Rangaviz celebrated the convicted pedophile’s release in a now-deleted tweet.

“There are so many move lives to save, but it is an unbelievable relief to get him released while it appears he may have dodged this ongoing outbreak in his facility,” the defense attorney said on Twitter.

Would Rangaviz feel comfortable allowing Christie to babysit for his family or friends?

This attorney prioritized the health and freedom of a pedophile over the welfare of our children. Shameful.

These violent offenders are locked up for a reason. Yet, lawmakers see fit to set them free for “their own good.” Obviously they have little to no concern for the public.

Moreover, these lawmakers are turning a blind eye to what happens when the pandemic is over. Will these convicts, some dangerous, be left to roam the streets?
Of course, Christie’s release is certainly not the only example.

New York Releases Level Three Sex Offenders

Another high profile instance comes to us from Greece, NY. There, eight registered sex offenders were released from jail.

Their release was part of a statewide order from the Department of Corrections and Community Services (DOCCS).

Three of those sex offenders are classified as Level 3 sex offenders. That means the trio is deemed a high risk to re-offend by the courts.

Yet, those three Level 3 and one lower level sex offender are now lounging at a Holiday Inn Express on the taxpayer’s dime amidst the viral pandemic.

Local authorities are fuming mad over this situation and the lack of concern for the general public.

Greece NY Police Chief Pushes Back

From WIVB:

“It doesn’t make any sense. If you could present an argument to me that makes sense, I’m willing to listen. But this doesn’t make any sense,” Patrick Phelan, the Greece Chief of Police, said.

The inmates were moved to the Holiday Inn Express after the DOCCS was ordered to release low-level technical parole violators, amid concerns that COVID-19 has spread in local prisons..

“So you have a violent criminal who’s done time in state prison who’s been given the chance of parole, and not followed the conditions of their parole. That’s who you’re talking about right now,” Phelan said.

Phelan is critical of the DOCCS decision to release inmates and said he would have liked to be notified because of the threat these inmates pose to the community.

“We weren’t told by anyone,” Phelan said. “I think good practice would be if you’re going to release convicted felons. Some of them very violent some of those level 3 sex offenders, You might want to give law enforcement the heads up.”

I don’t know about you, but I’d rather take my chances with coronavirus than these criminals.
