Christopher Will Reeve Superman GMA

Will Reeve, 27 year-old son of the late Superman star Christopher Reeve, is now a reporter for “Good Morning America” (GMA), and he had an embarrassing mishap while reporting from home this morning that has since gone viral. The young Reeve had a full circle Clark Kent moment while while on air.

Christopher Reeve’s Son Caught On Camera In Hilarious GMA Mishap

Tuesday morning, 27-year-old Reeve appeared on the ABC morning talk show to report on a new initiative that involves drones being used to deliver prescriptions to elderly people.

When he appeared on camera from his home, Reeve was seen wearing a smart grey suit jacket and blue shirt.

It was only when the camera pulled back that it was revealed that Reeve was not wearing any pants.

That’s right, folks. Christopher Reeve’s equally chiseled son was sitting there, on camera, in just his boxer shorts!

The young reporter continued on with the GMA segment seemingly unaware that millions of viewers could see his bare leg and underwear.

“What is an innovative, high-tech way to get people their medicine quickly while promoting social distancing? Drones!” he said with gusto as he went on with his report.

Though Reeve didn’t appear to realize what had happened, host Amy Robach appeared to catch on, as she had a startled look on her face when it cut back to her and Michael Strahan in the studio.

Will Reeve Breaks His Silence

Thankfully, Reeve had a sense of humor about the incident, as he poked fun at himself over it on Twitter.

Reeve later explained himself further, claiming that he had started getting ready for his post-show workout a little too early.

Despite the fact that what he was wearing looked very much like boxer briefs, the cheeky newsman swore up and down that they were shorts.

In the end, social media users got a big kick out of the moment, and it put a much-needed smile on their faces amidst a lot of sadness and turmoil in the world.

Some also pointed out that the incident somehow seemed very familiar … especially since Reeve is the son of Superman himself!

“So apparently Christopher Reeve’s son is a reporter. Just a hapless, clumsy reporter. Suuuuuuuure,” one social media user commented, eluding to Reeve’s dad’s famous character.

A charming yet absent-minded reporter – where have I heard that before?

Christopher Reeve Was A True Hero

In all seriousness, Will carries on quite the legacy.

While Reeve’s dad Christopher will always be remembered for playing a hero onscreen, he was also a hero in his real life before his tragic death in 2004.

Just one day to prior to son Will’s headline making mishap, a 1988 clip of the Superman actor surfaced in which he talks about how he tries to be a hero off the screen as well.

Christopher Reeve would certainly be proud of the man his son has become, and have had a good laugh about what he did this morning!
