It remains to be seen when major combat sports organizations start holding events again. As a result, a lot of promotions are sharing out videos of class tilts, and that includes GLORY.

Watch Badr Hari storm through Semmy Schilt

Recently the kickboxing promotion shared out the video below, which features Badr Hari taking out the 6’11 tall, Semmy Schilt, back in 2009.  The fight took place at “It’s Showtime 2009 Amsterdam” on May 16th of that year. As you can see by watching the video, the arena was packed.

Hari ended up facing Schilt again later that year in the K-1 World Grand Prix. That time around, it was Schilt who scored the first round, TKO win. If you don’t follow kickboxing, Hari is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous kickboxers of this generation. As evidenced by his record of 106-14, with 92 knockout wins…

Hari’s last bout

Fast forward to 2020, and Hari is coming off a TKO loss to GLORY heavyweight champ, Rico Verhoeven in December. Hari was winning the fight, but in round three, he injured his leg and could not continue. Hari also faced Verhoeven in 2016 and was giving the champ a run for his money, but he sustained an arm injury and had to stop.

The 35-year-old is booked to fight Benjamin Adegbuyi at GLORY 78 on June 6th.
