Piers Morgan millenials

Piers Morgan isn’t one to hold his tongue and the brash host of Good Morning Britain just unloaded on selfish Millennials. Morgan, not one to sugarcoat, put young people on blast for continuing to party at the risk of spreading coronavirus to high risk people instead of just following official guidelines on social distancing like most decent folks. The Brit even called out millennial actress Vanessa Hudgens for her ‘callous’ Instagram post in the blistering Daily Mail column.

Flatten The Coronavirus Curve And Stay At Home

Currently, we are facing a grave threat that almost no one alive today has ever experienced. Hospitals around the world are overburdened, forcing doctors to make life or death decisions on patients because they don’t have the resources to properly care for everyone.

Both the United Kingdom and the United States are working hard to flatten the coronavirus curve so that we don’t find ourselves in the same situation as Italy. Residents are encouraged to stay at home to avoid risk of spreading the contagion.

However, Millennials continue going out in large numbers, dismissing the fact that they might spread the virus. Many of them will have marginal or no symptoms so they aren’t concerned for their safety.

But, that’s not the point. These young people are still able to contract and spread the virus to other people, many of whom will be high risk and not fare so well.

In a Daily Mail column on the Daily Mail, Piers Morgan states that he has wondered how the millennial generation would deal with a full blown crisis like the one we are experiencing now.

While, of course, some people in this age group are handling it well, there are hordes of others whose selfishness is on full display. This can be seen as young people flock to beaches. They seem ecstatic at the chance to celebrate their extended school and work breaks. Despite the fact we’re in the throes of a global pandemic.

Ireland shut down bars and parades on their beloved St. Patrick’s Day.

That should be enough to tell us how terrifying this virus is. But, this message fell on the deaf ears of naive Millennials who say coronavirus is just like the flu.

Piers Morgan Blasts Vanessa Hudgens’ Coronavirus Comments

Here’s what the 54-year-old Brit wrote:

What kind of mentality, I pondered, makes people so brainless when the we’re in the grip of the greatest potential threat to our existence since World War 2?

For the answer, turn to High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens, 31.

Yesterday, she turned on her Instagram live ‘story’ and broadcast her thoughts on the coronavirus to her 38.4 million followers, many of them young and impressionable.

Reacting to the news that the virus may still be wreaking havoc through the summer, she said: ‘’Til July sounds like a bunch of bullsh*t. I’m sorry, but like, it’s a virus, I get it, I respect it. But at the same time, like, even if everybody gets it, like, yeah, people are gonna die. Which is terrible, but like inevitable? I don’t know. Maybe I shouldn’t be doing this right now.’

You, like, THINK?

You can watch Hudgens’ shameful Instagram video in the tweet below:

Vanessa Hudgens Faces Blowback

The millennial actress got tremendous blowback regarding her careless and destructive message. However, the outspoken Brit didn’t accept her apology.

Piers Morgan continued:

As understandable outrage greeted this staggeringly tone-deaf response, Hudgens dug an even bigger hole by deciding to further clarify her position.

Naturally, this involved blaming everyone else for all misinterpreting her disgustingly callous jabberings, and immediately positioning herself as a victim to try to draw the sting out of the vitriol pouring down on her stupefyingly dumb head.

‘Hey guys,’ she whimpered, flicking her hands through her frizzy hair like a ditzy dimwit, ‘so yesterday I did an Instagram Live and I realized today that some of my comments are being taken out of context. It’s a crazy time, it’s a CRAZY time and I am at home and in lockdown, and that’s what I hope you guys are doing too, in full quarantine. And staying safe and sane. Yeah, I don’t take this situation lightly. By any means. I am home.’

Then Hudgens gave the obligatory millennial vacuous smile and peace sign to the camera and concluded: ‘So stay inside, y’all.’

Unsurprisingly, this disingenuous load of self-protective crap did little to dampen the furore.

“Okay, Boomer!”

Millennials have been battling with Baby Boomers for months online with their wretched, “Okay, Boomer!” scorn.

Now, their careless and selfish behavior is threatening the lives of countless Boomers. As Hudgens exemplifies in her video, they just don’t care or have compassion for people other than themselves.

Morgan sends it home:

And her casual, self-absorbed gormlessness explains why all those Spring Break students are partying on the beach, why so many others are still hitting any bars and club still open in Britain and America, and why they’re so furious at their holidays being cancelled, or their gyms being closed, or their favorite sport being canned.

This is a woefully entitled generation that’s grown up whining about absolutely everything – yet has so little to legitimately whine about given how much safer, healthier, less war-ravaged and more prosperous the world is now compared to any other time in recorded history.

BOOM! Age teaches us a lot of lessons. Perhaps this pandemic will help Millennials learn that life isn’t just about them.
