Donald Cerrone Tells UFC He’s “Waiting on The Call”, Gilbert Burns Responds
Recently Donald Cerrone let the UFC know he's ready to throw hands at lightweight or welterweight, and Gilbert Burns was quick to respond.
As Dana White works on holding UFC 249, and the promotion considers it’s next moves on account of the coronavirus, Donald Cerrone’s offered his fighting services. Upon seeing that, Gilbert Burns has called for a bout with “Cowboy”.
Cerrone says he’s ready for the “call”
Donald Cerrone has yet to be booked for a bout, since he was quickly taken out by Conor McGregor at UFC 246 in January. Of course, the UFC hasn’t been signing many fights recently, since no one knows for certain when the promotion will resume operations due to the coronavirus.
While it remains to be see if UFC 249 will take place on April 18th, recently Cerrone shared out the comments below.
155/170 I’ll be waiting on the Call!!
Burns, meanwhile, stopped Demian Maia earlier this month at UFC Brasilia. After the former lightweight saw Cerrone’s post, “Durinho” responded with this.

Could we see Burns vs. Cerrone when the UFC is up-and-running? Or at UFC 249? It’s possible right? Burns has been on a big roll recently, as the welterweight’s won five in a row.
