A lot of hardcore MMA fans have little to no interest in watching YouTube stars fight. But, it looks like there’s a chance, at some point, we could see Logan Paul fighting in the Bellator cage.
Paul discusses possibility of taking a MMA bout
Paul has competed in two boxing matches to date (one was professional and one was amateur) against fellow YouTube star, KSI. Paul also reportedly wrestled in high school.
While talking to the media recently, Paul was asked about the possibility of taking a MMA fight, and he said this (quote via MMA Junkie):
“If the money is right, I’ll fight him,” Logan said. “I’m going to put it real bluntly for you, DAZN. I need a fat (explicit) check, like multi, multi millions. Or if there’s an opponent equally or better than JMX and his clout makes sense – and he can bring in just as many viewers as myself – I’ll be excited about that too.”
“@ScottCoker, call us!” – Logan Paul and @mikemajlak confirm that @LoganPaul’s MMA future should be in @BellatorMMA on @DAZN_USA.
I asked if he would face @AaronCGShore or @RealJakeHager, but he still seems keen on a bout with @JMXFifa. Full video: https://t.co/hScO8RkK2U pic.twitter.com/nfDRhGKDEi

Paul also said a MMA fight would need to take place with Bellator, since he has a contract with DAZN and Bellator cards air on the streaming service.
Bellator’s Scott Coker responds
Word of Paul’s comments got back to Bellator President Scott Coker, who tweeted out this:
If you’re in Miami for @SuperBowl, let me know. #SBLIV @LoganPaul https://t.co/xjUUtRfwcu

Now, sure; a lot of combat sports purists probably don’t want to see this happen. But, there’s certainly a possibility it might. Let’s not forget the UFC signed pro-wrestling star CM Punk to a deal, and he also had no MMA fights at the time.
