In recent years, Brian Ortega has become one of the UFC’s top featherweights thanks to a 6-1, 1 with no-contest run in the Octagon. Not only that, during that time Ortega has demonstrated he’s a ridiculously dangerous fighter, by scoring finishes in all six of his UFC victories to date.

Well, recently the UFC shared out a video in which Ortega discusses his fighting spirit, and the lessons he learned from his hardworking parents.

“T-City’s” next fight?

Ortega has yet to fight since he lost to now former champ Max Holloway in December, 2018. The rising star was booked to fight Chan Sung Jung in December, but he had to bow out due to a knee injury.

Recently, however, ESPN’s Brett Okamoto reported the following:

“Just spoke to Brian Ortega ( @BrianTcity ) backstage. He told me he is aware of the Zabit Magomedsharipov rumors but nothing is signed and he’s not sure what’s going on. He DOES want to fight Zabit five rounds. Says if Zabit wants to be a champ this year, take a five-rounder.”

Ortega vs. Magomedsharipov sounds like a great idea no?
