Dominick Reyes buzzed the MMA world this past weekend by pushing Jon Jones to his limit, and although he didn’t officially win, “The Devastator’s” jumped into the top 15 of the pound-for-pound ranks.

Reyes moves into the P4P ranks

Reyes was a huge underdog heading into UFC 247, but the consensus seems to be that he won the first three rounds. The judges (and others), saw it differently, however, and Jones walked away with the 205 title via a decision win.

Well, the new UFC rankings have been released, and Reyes is now ranked #15 in the pound-for-pound ranks. The previously undefeated fighter also leaped up three spots in the light-heavyweight ranks, and he’s now #1.

Reaction?

The UFC rankings, which are determined by a panel of media members, have been criticized many, many times, and often justifiably so. But, when you consider that Jones is widely regarded to be the greatest fighter of all time, it’s not surprising to see Reyes move into the P4P ranks right?

If you’re wondering, yes, Jones is still #1.
