Everyone in the know predicted that Dan Hooker versus Paul Felder had the potential to be an all-out war, and the lightweights delivered on that call at UFC Auckland.
Leading up to UFC Auckland, Hooker made it clear he didn’t care for a social media jab Felder had taken at his last name. As a result, by the time the two threw hands last night, there was no shortage of tension between the lightweight contenders.
But, following Hooker’s split decision win, Felder posted the image below.
Both men took heavy punches during the fight including innumerable kicks to their legs. So, if you watched the fight, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that both men headed to the hospital after the battle.
Folloing the win, Hooker called for a fight with top lightweight contender, Justin Gaethje. Felder, meanwhile, said he’s not sure about his fighting future, while citing the fact he has a young daughter.
