Henry Cejudo Vs. Jose Aldo Booked, UFC 251 Title Fight Rumored
UFC 250 will host a championship match between Henry Cejudo and Jose Aldo, and two title fights are expected for UFC 251 in Australia.
Henry Cejudo Vs. Jose Aldo Booked
UFC bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo will get his request.
Cejudo will defend his title against former featherweight champion Jose Aldo at UFC 250. The event takes place Saturday, May 9 from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The former two-division champion vacated his flyweight title after suffering an injury. Cejudo has not fought since winning the vacant bantamweight belt from Marlon Moraes last year.
Aldo is coming off a loss to Moraes, but the decision was close enough for UFC officials to grant him a title fight.
Despite the loss by Aldo, Cejudo requested the meeting with the former featherweight king.
“The Battle is set for May 9. The Stand off in Sao Paolo,” Cejudo posted on Twitter. “Welcome to the Greatest Show on earth. Triple C will remain Champion, Triple will Conquer another Goat. My Brazilians save your appetite from Carnavale because daddy will be serving Goat On May 9th.”

UFC 251 Title Fight Rumored
One championship match has been set for UFC 251, and another is reportedly in the works.
Valentina Shevchenko will defend her flyweight belt against Joanne Calderwood on June 6. The event takes place from Perth, Australia and the RAC Arena.
Shevchenko recently picked up her third title defense with a third round finish over Katlyn Chookagian. She has also bested Liz Carmouche and Jessica Eye since claiming the vacant belt with a decision in 2018 over Joanne Jedrzejczyk.
Calderwood is 3-1 over her last four, earning a 2019 split decision vs. Andrea Lee. Her only loss during that stretch came via decision to Chookagian.
The card is also expected to serve as the home for a rematch between Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway. At UFC 245 last year, Volkanovski earned a decision and the title over Holloway.
“UFC is coming to Perth,” Volkanovski posted on Twitter. “As Australia’s UFC WORLD CHAMPION, it’s only fitting for me to DEFEND and KEEP that belt here in Australia. LETS make that happen.”
