GLORY 76

Seven additional bouts have been confirmed today for the GLORY 76 ANTWERP card taking place Saturday, March 28 in Antwerp, Belgium.

Zakaria Zouggary (33-5-1, 16 KO’s, ranked #2) heads from his Rotterdam, Netherlands base to face Uzbekistan’s Anvar Boynazarov (95-27-2, 54 KO’s, ranked #5) in a featherweight contest with implications for the contender picture.

If Zougarry can best Boynazarov, who is coming off an unsuccessful title shot of his own, he will extend his win streak to 3-0 and loudly enter his own name into the title shot conversation.

In the heavyweight division, the lightning-fast Antonio Plazibat (18-3, 11 KO’s, ranked #5) of Croatia is matched up against the stoic Arkadiusz Wrzosek (13-5, 8 KO’s, ranked #6) of Poland, while Slovakia’s Tomas Mozny (20-9-1, 6 KO’s, ranked #8) takes on Oleh Pryimachov (17-4, 7 KO’s) of Ukraine.

American welterweight Troy Jones (13-2, 11 KO’s, ranked #6) returns to action for the first time since his unsuccessful attempt to beat Murthel Groenhart to the interim welterweight championship. He faces the returning Cedric De Keirsmaeker (20-6-1, 10 KO’s), who is defending home soil in Belgium.

Welterweights Also Take To Action

In a busy night for GLORY’s welterweight division, the card also hosts Turkey’s Vedat Hoduk (47-5-1, 29 KO’s) against France’s Cédric Do (17-5, 10 KO’s) and American karate stylist Ross Levine (4-0, 3 KO’s) against the UK’s Ammari Diedrick (19-9, 5 KO’s).

And finally, fireworks are expected in the women’s super-bantamweight match between Sarah Moussaddak (10-1, 3 KO’s) and Anaëlle Angerville (16-5-1, 3 KO’s). The two Frenchwomen enter the ring to do damage and neither is interested in taking a backwards step against a fellow prospect.

GLORY 76 ANTWERP takes place Saturday, March 28 in at the AED Studios in Antwerp, Belgium and is headlined by welterweight champion Cédric Doumbé (73-6-1, 43 KO’s) taking on interim welterweight champion Murthel Groenhart (69-24-3, 40 KO’s) for the undisputed GLORY World Welterweight Championship.

The five-round main event fight between the two bitter rivals is also their rubber match: they are 1-1 against each other and this fight will determine the winner of their trilogy.
