Unfortunately, the world of pro wrestling drama is not regulated to the actual world of pro wrestling.

According to a social media post by Superstar Billy Graham, WWE officials Vince McMahon and Pat Patterson [1] caused issues during the funeral for recently-passed away former WWE superstar Rocky Johnson [2].

Graham noted on a post on Facebook that has since been deleted that Patterson went into a “rant.” That included calling Johnson, the father of WWE icon and Hollywood movie star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, a “mother (expletive).” Graham stated that Patterson had to be dragged away by a number of people. He apparently “started this vulgar rant about how worthless Rocky was.”

Patterson, himself a former WWE superstar, recently turned 81 years old. Some have wondered if he is starting to battle his own personal demons, with Graham adding “I actually feel a bit ill over this bizarre behavior.”

Johnson and Patterson won the NWA tag team titles three times together, capturing gold in the San Francisco version of the belts.

Devon Nicholson Reacts To Vince McMahon Funeral Drama

Another person, Devon Nicholson who competed as Hannibal, took to YouTube [5] to express what he heard about the funeral proceedings.

Then, Nicholson said that he has “asked around” and that “Billy Graham said that Vince and Pat were very rude on the podium.”

In his video, Nicholson did add that there was “frustration” from those in attendance. That came in part after the “preacher spoke for more than an hour and was very negative toward professional wrestling.”

He added that maybe the reactions from McMahon and Patterson “had to do with the preacher” and what he was saying.”

Rocky Johnson passed away earlier [2] this month at 75 years old. Along with Tony Atlas, he became the first black champions in WWE history when they captured the tag team titles in 1983.

In 2008, the WWE inducted Johnson into the WWE Hall of Fame. He was also enshrined that year in the St. Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Report: Naomi Returning During WWE Women’s Royal Rumble

According to a report by PWInsider [9], Naomi will make her WWE return this coming Sunday night during the women’s 30-person Royal Rumble [10] match.

Naomi is likely to compete on SmackDown, once she does make her full-fledge return to the ring. She has been out since late July of last year due to both health issues of her own and family issues. She is married to Jonathan Fatu, better known as Jimmy Uso and one-half of The Usos [11], who compete on SmackDown.

Only a handful of women are confirmed as of now for the Royal Rumble match. That list includes Charlotte Flair, Natalya, Nikki Cross, Alexa Bliss and Sarah Logan. Naomi’s last television match actually came when she defeated Logan on WWE Main Event in last July.

The 32-year-old Naomi, real name Trinity Fatu, became the first African-American woman to win the WWE SmackDown title back in 2017. She was forced to vacate the title due to injury, but reclaimed it at WrestleMania 33 [16], also winning the inaugural WrestleMania women’s battle royal a year later.
