Loughlin’s Husband Seemingly Joked In Emails About Rejecting ‘Legitimate Approach’ To Getting Daughters Into USC

Prosecutors are saying that newly released emails between Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli show that they knowingly rejected a “legitimate approach” to get their oldest daughter Isabella “Bella” Giannulli admitted to the University of Southern California.

Damning Emails Between Giannulli And Loughlin Are Released

Daily Mail reported that new court documents include an email from Giannulli to his wife in which he seemed to joke about turning down a USC admissions official who had offered to review Bella’s college entrance application.

In the email, Giannulli detailed an exchange he allegedly had with the official in September of 2016. The official made an offer to take a look at Bella’s file. But, Giannulli replied, “I think we are squared away.”

“The nicest I’ve been about blowing off somebody,” Giannulli wrote to his wife.

Another email released by prosecutors allegedly was written by another USC official. That official offered to set up a private tour for one of the couple’s daughters.

“Hi Mossimo — Please let me know if I can be at all helpful in setting up a 1:1 opportunity for her, customized tour of campus for the family… I’d also be happy to flag her application…” read the email from an official whose name was redacted.

USC has since released a statement saying that this email is not indicative of the family receiving special treatment of any kind.

“Tours, classroom visits and meetings are routinely offered,” the school said. “The primary purpose of a flag is to be able to track the outcome of the admission review process…”

Loughlin And Giannulli Facing Decades In Prison

Loughlin and Giannulli have been accused of paying $500,000 in bribe money to have their two daughters, Bella and her younger sister Olivia Jade, admitted to USC as members of the crew team even though neither girl has ever rowed. They are each facing 45 years in prison if they are convicted on all charges, and they are each pleading not guilty to it all.

Other emails released in court documents include an exchange between Giannulli and Rick Singer, who is the mastermind behind this college admissions scam. In the emails, Singer can be seen telling the couple that he can make their daughter look like a “real coxswain.”

“In August 2016, Singer told the Giannullis the he would ‘create a coxswain profile’ for their daughter, and noted that ‘[i]t would probably help to get a picture with her on an ERG [an indoor rowing machine] in workout clothes like a real athlete too,'” the court documents state. “In fact, the Giannullis’ daughter did not row crew, and was not a coxswain,’ the documents state, ‘Yet, Giannulli, copying Loughlin, replied, ‘Fantastic. Will get all.'”

Loughlin And Giannulli Should Plead Guilty

At this point, it’s hard to believe that Giannulli and Loughlin will be found not guilty of all of their crimes. It’s time for them to take responsibility for what they have done and plead guilty, if for no other reason than to allow themselves and their daughters to move on with their lives.
