Lori Loughlin's daughter Olivia Jade breaks silence in return to YouTube

Olivia Jade Giannulli, the daughter of embattled former “Fuller House” star Lori Loughlin, broke her silence for the first time in months. Olivia Jade’s surprise return comes just after her parents celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary. The celebration was reportedly “low key” given Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli each face up to 50 years in prison.

Lori Loughlin’s Daughter, Olivia Jade, Returns To YouTube

Lori Loughlin’s eldest daughter, Olivia Jade, was once a popular YouTube star. That was before her parents were charged in the college admissions scandals. The couple allegedly paid $500,000 in bribe money to have their two daughters admitted to the University of Southern California. The bribe got the girls admitted as members of the crew team even though neither girl rowed before.

Olivia Jade, who garnered nearly two million followers on YouTube with her hair and makeup tutorials, had not posted a video since news of her parents’ scandal broke. Thus it came as a huge surprise when she posted a video called “hi again” over the weekend.

“I know (there’s) something that needs to be addressed,” Olivia said in the video, adding that she had a hard time deciding if and when she should return to YouTube. “The reason for (my absence) is that I’m legally not allowed to speak on anything going on right now.”

“A part of me is like, ‘Should I come back to YouTube right now?’ Because it’s been so long, and I actually really, really miss it. Like, I genuinely miss filming,” she continued. “I feel like a huge part of me is just not the same, because this is something that I’m really passionate about and something I really like to do, but I also didn’t know.”

Olivia Jade Struggled With When To Return

Olivia Jade clearly wanted her fans to know that she’d had a hard time deciding if she should come back to YouTube.

“I debated for 7 or 8 months, like, ‘Well, if I can’t talk about it, is there a point in coming back and not being able to say anything?'” she said. “There’s no point in me just talking for 10 minutes to the camera about how I wish I could say something when I really can’t. So, I’m going to leave it at that.”

“Though I’m terrified to make this video and to come back, I know that I also want to start taking smaller steps in the right direction for the people that have been DMing [direct messaging],” Lori Loughlin’s eldest daughter concluded. “Moral of the story is I’ve missed you guys so much, and I’m just really excited to start filming again and to start uploading, and I really hope you enjoy the vlog.”

Loughlin And Giannulli Celebrate 22nd Anniversary

Olivia Jade’s surprise return came just days after a source close to the family said her parents kept things “low key” for their 22nd wedding anniversary last Wednesday.

“Their anniversary is the last thing on their mind, as they’re trying to figure out their legal options and the case against them,” the source told People magazine. “They’re unified and working together to fight these charges, but they’re not really in a celebration mood, as far as I can tell.”

“It’s all business all the time with them as they move through this,” the source continued. “Anything they do will be low key and just between the two of them.”

One of the biggest stressors for the family is conjecture that one of Loughlin’s daughters could be charged in the college admissions scandal as well. It’s unclear just how aware Olivia Jade and sister Isabella Rose were of their parents’ alleged criminal activity. But, if investigators can prove the girls had knowledge, the sisters could find themselves in trouble with the law too.

It’s understandable that Olivia would want to return to the platform where she had started building a career. But it might be a little soon for her to return to YouTube full-time. With her parents’ trial approaching, Olivia should focus on supporting them and keeping a low profile. Rather than promoting herself on the internet.
