Jason Mamoa

Jason Mamoa of Aquaman fame has issued an apology to Jurassic World star Chris Pratt after he shamed the actor for being photographed using a plastic water bottle.

Mamoa Calls Out Pratt

It all started when Amazon posted an ad to Instagram showing Pratt standing next to a treadmill in a gym while holding a plastic water bottle. This enraged Mamoa, who called Pratt out in a comment on the ad.

“bro I love u but wtf on the water bottle. no single use plastic. come on,” Mamoa wrote.

Mamoa Apologizes To Pratt

Mamoa’s comment quickly backfired on him when the vast majority of Instagram users rushed to Pratt’s defense and slammed the Aquaman actor for his over-sensitivity on this issue. Finally, the backlash got to be so great that Mamoa apologized on his own Instagram page, writing that he was “sorry this was received so badly.”

“BRO you know my children and I are madly in love with you and I love everything you do. I’m sorry this was received so badly today I didn’t mean for that to happen,” Mamoa wrote alongside a photo of himself and his children with Pratt. “I’m just very passionate about this single use plastic epidemic. the plastic water bottles have to stop i hope u make a reusable water bottle for amazon so we all can purchase.”

“You’re an inspiration to many I’m one of them. I’ll send you a case of MANANALU. All my Aloha, Da Momoa’s,” he concluded.

Mananalu is a brand of water that Mamoa created that gets rid of traditional plastic water bottles and instead packages water in 100 percent recycled aluminum cans.

Pratt Responds To Apology

Pratt responded to Mamoa’s apology almost immediately, writing, “Aquaman! You’re completely right. Dammit. I always carry my big gallon size reusable water jug around with me too. I even had it that day!!!”

“If I remember correctly somebody threw that plastic bottle to me in the photo shoot cause I didn’t know what to do with my hands!” Pratt continued. “I never know what to do with my hands! So uncomfortable. For real tho. Love you too buddy. My bad. I don’t want your home of Atlantis covered in plastic. Hear that kids? Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.”

We applaud Pratt for taking the high road and rising above this foolishness with his characteristic charm and good naturedness. But, that doesn’t change the fact that he never should have been called out in the first place. It’s sad that we live in a time when a celebrity can’t do something as simple as hold a plastic water bottle without being called out by a radical leftwing environmentalist like Mamoa.

Mamoa and his fellow leftists seem to spend all of their time just looking for things to be “outraged” by. If you ask me, that’s a pretty sad way to live.
