Cain Velasquez Will Not Compete In Tag Match In Mexico
Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez has been removed from a planned tag team match at WWE Mexico later this month.
Velasquez, who made his in-ring debut at WWE Crown Jewel, is set for knee surgery. That was the reason for his short match – and loss – to WWE champion Brock Lesnar.

He was scheduled to team with Rey Mysterio against Andrade and Drew McIntyre on November 30 frm the Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico. Velasquez competed for AAA Lucha Libre back in August in the same venue.
Velasquez missed several years in the UFC due to injuries. He was a two-time heavyweight champion, winning his first title over Lesnar.

Mysterio is now set to team with Humberto Carrillo against The O.C. of Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Velasquez is expected to appear at the event in some capacity.
Changes Made For WWE Mexico Lineup
New WWE Universal champion Bray Wyatt will still be defending his title at the upcoming WWE event in Mexico, just against a new opponent.
Wyatt, also known as “The Fiend,” captured the belt at WWE Crown Jewel from Seth Rollins. Now, he will defend it against The Miz in a steel cage.

The original lineup for the November 30 event from Mexico City featured Wyatt challenging Rollins for the belt in a steel cage. Rollins will now take on Randy Orton.
Putting Rollins and Orton together also caused another change, as United States champion AJ Styles will now defend his belt against Kevin Owens. Owens was the original opponent for Orton.
Some other changes made to the WWE Mexico event include the removal of Sasha Banks and SmackDown women’s champion Bayley, along with a planned Intercontinental match between champion Shinsuke Nakamura and Braun Strowman being taken off. That bout will now feature Nakamura and Sami Zayn taking on Strowman.
Banks and Bayley were to meet Charlotte Flair and RAW women’s champion Becky Lynch. Flair and Lynch will now challenge the Kabuki Warriors, Asuka and Kairi Sane, for the tag team belt.
Other planned bouts include Roman Reigns vs. King Baron Corbin, Rusev vs. Bobby Lashley with Lana and The New Day challenging The Revival for the Smackdown tag team titles.
