Randy Orton and Tony Khan

AEW owner Tony Khan has entered a social media war with the WWE. When Randy Orton fired back, Khan retaliated in a major way. In other news, Nikki Cross reveals all about her friendship with Alexa Bliss and how it turned into a tag team.

Tony Khan Hits Back At Randy Orton

The war between AEW and WWE is turning nasty with several superstars taking to social media and taking shots at one another. This particular feud all started when CM Punk tagged Tony Khan in a social media post stating nobody was safe. Khan retaliated by mentioning the unsafe situation in Saudi Arabia. Then, Randy Orton tagged him in a post mentioning Tony’s father being investigated for corruption.

Tony Khan would destroy Orton by referring to him using AEW as leverage for his new contract. He would also mention how Orton used the ‘N-word’ while on Twitch. Randy made things personal. It seems Khan had no choice but to retaliate in a major way.

Nikki Cross Talks About Her Friendship With Alexa Bliss

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross are two women you didn’t think would ever be in a tag team together. However, things turned out differently and it has a lot to do with the genuine friendship the women developed.

According to Cross, her friendship with Bliss started in NXT. While the women did not know one another too well then, the friendship really started to blossom when Crosstook Bliss’ place at Money in the Bank.

“She was so supportive and she was rooting for me. She gave me some great advice before the match.”

“After the match she helped pick me up because it didn’t go the way I would have liked. I think at that time, in April/May of this year we both kind of needed a friend and we were able to find each other, look out for each other and have each other’s backs.”

During the interview, Cross mentioned how she and Bliss are constantly travelling together. As they are on the same brand and effectively a tag team, it is expected that the women will have many more matches in the future.

That being said, fans are waiting for the eventual Bliss heel turn. A couple of months ago, I would have wanted the same. After all, Bliss is a pretty good heel. However, I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing Bliss and Cross together. I would love for their tag team to stand the test of time, much like Edge and Christian.

Being in a permanent tag team would not be that bad for Bliss either. Some time ago, I wrote how the WWE is concerned about Bliss’ long-term career due to the many injuries she had suffered recently. A tag team partnership with Cross could become the solution here, as it can take some of the pressure from Bliss she would face in singles competition. I don’t believe I’m the only one either, as many fans have supported the Bliss-Cross tag team.
