Report: Paulo Costa Called Israel Adesanya an (Expletive) “African” in Tweet

Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa have repeatedly traded verbal shots in recent months, and now it’s being reported that the latter called the middleweight champ a “p-ssy African” in a tweet he’s since deleted.

Costa’s latest attack

Costa, whose expected title fight with Adesanya is up in the air on account of bicep surgery, reportedly tweeted out the comments below (warning explicit language) (image via MMA Junkie). As noted above, the tweet has since been removed.

The massive, middleweight contender then proceeded to follow-up with the comment below.

Adesanya’s next fight

After word of Costa’s bicep surgery was reported, Adesanya called for a fight with Yoel Romero, but Dana White has said the UFC has other plans for the powerful wrestler. Costa and his team have said the Brazilian fighter will be ready to fight Adesdanya in April. But, White has reported he’s been told otherwise. As a result, it’s not yet clear who Adesanya will face next.
