Banks’ holiday wish list comes shortly after her Charlie’s Angels film bombed at the box office and she prematurely blamed men for the film’s failure.

According to The Numbers the film’s opening weekend only grossed $8.3 million. It has currently only grossed $14.9 million at the domestic box office and $44.7 million worldwide.
The film reportedly had a $49 million production budget.
A week before the film even released into theaters, Banks was already placing blame on the film’s box office failure.
She stated, “Look, people have to buy tickets to this movie, too. This movie has to make money.”
She added, “If this movie doesn’t make money is reinforces a stereotype in Hollywood that men don’t go see women do action movies.”
Banks also explained why the film needed to make money:
“By the way, I’m happy for those characters to have box office success, but we need more women’s voices supported with money because that’s the power. The power is in the money.”
She also complained about the number of Spider-Man films, movies which she starred in.
“You’ve had 37 Spider-Man movies and you’re not complaining!”
Banks added, “I think women are allowed to have one or two action franchises every 17 years—I feel totally fine with that.”
Elizabeth Banks and Politics
Banks’ holiday wish list is not out of character for the director and actress.
Back in 2012, she called for President Barack Obama to draft gun control legislation.

Last year, she campaigned to try and stop Brett Kavanaugh’s appointment to the Supreme Court.
The American people want and deserve a SCOTUS nominee who will respect the basic liberties guaranteed to all of us. Based on his record, Judge Kavanaugh is not that nominee. Tell your senators: Save Roe, vote NO. https://t.co/cyxLQtdiIS #StopKavanaugh @ReproRights https://t.co/yundMgvtrC

As for Donald Trump she’s referred to him as a lyin’ loser in the past.

What do you make of Elizabeth Banks’ holiday wish list? Do you think Santa Claus will bring her any of it or do you think she might get a stocking of coal?
