A 24-year-old Antifa member who donned a mask and brutally attacked conservatives learned his fate Friday. At least eight people, including journalist Andy Ngo, were injured at the demonstration in Portland, Oregon back in June. The attorney for Gage Halupowksi of Oregon City called the 70-month prison sentence the “harshest” he’s seen.
Antifa Member Gets Prison Time For Brutal Attack
Fox News reported that Gage Halupowski pleaded guilty to second-degree assault after police said he used a weapon to bust open the head of a conservative during the demonstration. The victim said that he was left with a concussion and a wound that required 25 staples to close.
Breaking: Antifa militant Gage Halupowski sentenced to nearly 6 years in prison for striking a man on head from behind w/a baton during riot. Following the assault, officers saw Halupowski collapse the baton he had used as a weapon and hide it in his pants.
Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney Melissa Marrero said that the June 29 attack was “completely unexplainable, completely avoidable and didn’t need to happen.”

Attorney Calls Sentence “Harsh”
Edward Kroll, the defense attorney for Halupowski, described his sentence as “one of the harshest sentences I’ve seen for someone with no criminal background and young age.”
However, Kroll went on to admit that Haluposki had made “a really terrible decision,” and that since the attack was caught on camera, the Antifa supporter was left with few legal options aside from accepting a plea deal.
When Halupowski accepted the plea deal, various other charges against him were dropped, including unlawful use of a weapon, attempted assault of a public safety officer and interfering with a peace officer.
Halupowski’s attack happened the very same day conservative writer Andy Ngo was assaulted, with Antifa supporters dousing him with liquid and hurling objects at him. Ngo has written columns for publications such as The Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, and National Review.
Ngo said that he was hospitalized with a brain hemorrhage after the attack, and that no suspects have been arrested in the months since.
I was beaten on the head & robbed on 29 June. Antifa then continued to hurl “milkshakes” at my bleeding face. I was hospitalized with a brain hemorrhage. There still hasn’t been a single arrest by @PortlandPolice . Help me seek justice; join my legal fund: https://t.co/QtCt7A6zJp pic.twitter.com/sis8pFo3lf

Antifa Should Be Labelled A Domestic Terrorist Group
President Donald Trump has called for Antifa to be labelled a domestic terrorist group. The numerous and brutal attacks by Antifa members make it easy to see why the group deserves this label.
Major consideration is being given to naming ANTIFA an “ORGANIZATION OF TERROR.” Portland is being watched very closely. Hopefully the Mayor will be able to properly do his job!

If a conservative group were wreaking this kind of violent havoc, liberals would have ensured that they were labelled a domestic terrorist group a long time ago.
Since Antifa is a radical liberal organization, however, Democrats have decided to essentially turn a blind eye to their crimes.
We’re glad that the judge threw the book at this Antifa supporter. It’s time they know that this violence will not be tolerated.
Hopefully Halupowski will use his years behind bars to rethink his deranged political views.
