Even though it is not much of an official rule, the WWE always tries to keep couples together. If couples are married, they are guaranteed to end up on the same roster. Of course, the same thing does not apply to unmarried couples. Fortunately, the WWE have taken couples into consideration with the recent superstar draft. Here are some of the couples that were drafted to the same brand.
Multiple WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte And Former NXT Champion Andrade Cien Almas
Andrade Cien Almas and Charlotte only revealed their relationship recently, but they have been dating for a while. Both Andrade and Charlotte have been drafted to Raw, which means the couple get to continue travelling together.
There was some speculation that Charlotte and Andrade were engaged some time ago. Charlotte has now revealed that this is not the case.
WWE’s Most Prolific Couple Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins
Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins remain on the same rostern too. Both superstars have been drafted to Raw. It’s a good thing too, as Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins got engaged recently.
Raw Welcomes Aleister Black And Zelina Vega
Zelina Vega and Aleister Black are two of my favorite people. They got married in 2018 and are just picture perfect. In the past, Aleister credited Vega with helping him overcome anxiety and panic attacks.
Even though Zelina Vega is a wrestler in her own right, she has been Andrade Cien Almas’ manager since his NXT days. Now, Aleister Black is on Raw. Andrade Cien Almas is also on this brand, which means Zelina Vega can remain with her hubby, too.
Johnny Gargano And Candice LeRae
Even though it was rumored that Johnny Gargano would be drafted to the main roster, he remains on NXT for now. This is good news for his other half Candice LeRae, who is getting a bit of a push on developmental.
Not Kept Together: Bianca BelAir and Montez Ford
Despite being married in 2018, the WWE did not keep Montez Ford and Bianca BelAir on the same roster. Bianca BelAir remains on NXT for now, while Montez Ford was drafted to Raw as one half of the Street Profits.
It is unusual for the WWE to separate married couples. Nevertheless, it also proves that there is no rule that the company has to keep married couples on the same roster.
Not Kept Together: Nikki Cross and Killian Dain
Nikki Cross and Killian Dain are two other victims of the draft. Even though they have been married since January 17th of 2019, Killian Dain remains on the NXT roster while Nikki Cross has been drafted to Raw.
Interestingly, Cross and Dain used to be in the same faction called Sanity. The faction was destroyed when they were called up to the main roster. Only Nikki Cross survived the main roster upgrade.
As it seems quite common to separate couples that come from NXT, the same could happen to the likes of Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Keith Lee, Mia Jim, and other NXT superstars.
