Prince Harry says he and his brother Prince William are “on different paths” and admits that there is tension in their relationship. Harry’s remarks are part of an hour-long documentary on his and Meghan Markle’s first official trip to Africa .
Prince Harry acknowledges rift with Prince William
“There’s been a lot of news in the press about rifts with your brother. How much of that is true?” journalist Tom Bradby asked.
To which Prince Harry, despite avoiding answering straight, acknowledged that he and his brother “are on different paths.”
“Part of this role, part of this job, this family, being under the pressure which it’s under, inevitably stuff happens,” he said.

Prince Harry’s loyalty
However, Prince Harry remains loyal to brother William.
“But we are brothers,” Harry clarified. “We will always be brothers.”
“We are certainly on different paths at the moment, but I will always be there for him, and as I know he will always be there for me. We don’t see each other as much as we used to as we are so busy. But I love him dearly and you know the majority of the stuff is probably — well, the majority of the stuff is created out of nothing. But as brothers, you have good days and you have bad days.”
Anyone with brothers or sisters knows first-hand the special relationship between siblings.
Especially the fact that even the best of relationships can get distant or strained at times. Particularly when one has a lot of accelerated life changes.
Prince William’s courtship, marriage and family building with Kate Middleton was markedly slower-paced than Harry’s with Meghan Markle. And Markle’s recent interview for the documentary shows William’s route is certainly less tumultuous.
Royal sob story
While Meghan and Harry’s interviews are getting a lot of sympathizers, the “poor me” routines both exude while speaking about themselves is also getting a lot of disinterested people annoyed with the pair.

“I went from not caring whatsoever about the British royal family to actively disliking Harry and Meghan based on these documentary interviews. A princess complaining about her life and a prince airing his problems with his sibling, just urg,” one journalist tweeted .
Press invites public opinion
And the British press is asking the public to weigh in on the matter. The BBC is holding a panel to discuss Meghan’s frank comments.
“We are currently existing not living” – Meghan speaking frankly about her life in the royal family. What do you think of such openness? At 10am we’ll ask a panel of guests & viewers – your contributions welcome as always #VictoriaLIVE https://t.co/5P1xEgFkDY

Some suggest they get out of Royal life if they find it too much.
“I think they should give up the Royal life – and the money that goes with it ( Frogmore ££ ) They’ll be happier And I won’t have to listen to them,” one Twitter user suggested .
It really ought to be noted that the documentary and exceedingly sympathetic interviews follow quickly on the heels of Harry and Meghan suing the British tabloid press .
Perhaps relinquishing their titles and moving to Canada is a good idea.
