Moments after successfully turning back the challenge – and surviving a nasty cut over his right eye – of Otto Wallin this past weekend, Tyson Fury issued a challenge to Deontay Wilder for a rematch.
“I want you next, bum,” Fury told the crowd inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and those watching live on ESPN+ .
Fury improved to 29-0-1 and 2-0 since a draw with Wilder for the WBC heavyweight title back in 2018 in Los Angeles. He also finished Tom Schwarz this past June in Las Vegas for the WBO Intercontinental heavyweight title. Related: Tyson Fury Opens Up About Battling Depression

All three judges ruled the bout in favor of Fury vs. Wallin, but he nearly had the fight stopped after suffering a deep, open cut above his right eye in the third round after Wallin landed with a left. The ringside doctor examined Fury in the sixth, but allowed the contest to continue.
Wilder defended the WBC title this past May when he knocked out Dominic Breazeale in New York City and is scheduled to defend it once more vs. Luis Ortiz from Los Angeles in November. Should he be successful that night against Ortiz – a man he finished in the 10th back in 2018 – a rematch with Fury could be signed for early 2020.
