We’re just over a week out from UFC 242, and the promotion’s shared out another, pretty sweet promo for the card’s headliner…
Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Dustin Poirier
In the headliner, you have the undefeated, lightweight king Khabib Nurmagomedov taking on the surging, interim champ, Dustin Poirier.
If you even follow MMA in passing, you know that Khabib is one of the best grapplers the game has ever seen, who has become one of the biggest names in the sport. The champion is coming off a submission win over Conor McGregor last October, which catapulted Nurmagomedov into superstar status.
Poirier, meanwhile, has gone undefeated in six straight fights and defeated Max Holloway this past April to win the interim 155 belt. Thus, the whole “champion vs. champion” angle.
