The Rock Gets Married

The Rock Gets Married In Secret Ceremony

Dwayne Johnson (best known as WWE’s The Rock) is off the market as he married his longtime girlfriend Lauren Hashian in an intimate ceremony on Sunday. The ceremony took place in Hawaii and the news came somewhat as a surprise considering everything was kept on the down-low.

For wrestling fans, The Rock is one of the biggest names in the business before later taking Hollywood by storm. The forty-seven year old and PEOPLE’s Sexiest Man Alive winner from 2016 has appeared in several installments of the Fast & Furious franchise and is now part of the spinoff Hobbs and Shaw.

Hashian is a thirty-four old singer and music producer, who met The Rock while filming The Game Plan in 2006. They would officially start dating the following year. The newlyweds have two children; three year old Jasmin and sixteen month old Tiana.

This is The Rock’s second marriage as he was with film producer Dany Garcia for ten years. They had an amicable split in 2007 and share an eighteen year old daughter named Simone.

While The Rock is busy cranking out films in Hollywood, he still does make a rare WWE appearance. There has been hope from WWE that The Rock will appear on the October 2 episode of SmackDown as the show starts its run on Fox.

WrestleNewz would like to send out our best wishes to the newlyweds.

Trish Status Passes The Torch To Charlotte Flair

At SummerSlam, Trish Stratus wrestled her farewell match in a losing effort to Charlotte Flair. With a few minutes of the bell ringing, Stratus looked like she never lost a step as she entertained the live Toronto crowd.

With SummerSlam out of the picture, Stratus will head back to being a mother and continuing to purse several business adventures; such as yoga. Stratus called the match a moment of passing the torch to Charlotte and she posted the following message on Instagram.

One week ago I stepped into the ring for what at first was my comeback match… but slowly realized was my farewell match, a passing of the proverbial torch if you will. . It was an honour and a privilege to step into the ring with @charlottewwe, one of the very best of her era, a total pro. . Feeling immense gratitude to the current roster of woman who allowed me to dip my toes into their current waters. In the beginning of my career, I set out to knock down the preconceived notion of what a female could do in this male oriented business and the current roster of ladies represent everything we dreamed of. If we laid the platform, you all have built a friggin skyscraper and we all couldn’t be prouder! . And now I get to sit back and watch my girls (tagged #smackdownlive) continue to take the women’s division to new heights….?
