Seth Rollins Clash Of Champions Opponent + Natalya Really Injured?

-Now that Seth Rollins is the new Universal Champion once again, it’s fair to start looking ahead to see who he might defend against first. This is a more interesting question now because WWE is really going all in on the “no automatic rematches” bit, started in late 2018.

Lesnar’s advocate, Paul Heyman, tried to get upset on RAW when he said WWE declared no rematch for Lesnar, but hey, that’s what has been happening all year. Rollins wasn’t awarded his SummerSlam shot, per se…he had to storyline earn it.

With that in mind, Clash of Champions is a month or so out, so who might Rollins be defending against?

Per Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, plans right now have Rollins defending against Braun Strowman. This would explain why, after Strowman made the save to close RAW this week, The Monster Among Men fetched the title belt, looked at it longingly and then handed it to Rollins.

It will be interesting to see if WWE uses this as an opportunity to turn Strowman into a monster heel again, in spite of his popularity with fans.

-In other news from RAW, we saw Natalya come out to the ring sporting her arm in a sling. She was, of course, selling an injury from her match against Becky Lynch at SummerSlam, which saw the challenger tap out to The Man’s Dis-arm-her submission finisher.

Per the Observer, Natalya isn’t really injured. Instead, the injury was and is a work. The major reasoning behind this? To use it as a means to help get the returning Sasha Banks more over.

Banks, as you should all know by now, returned from a four month hiatus on Monday. At first she appeared to be coming out to comfort an upset Natalya, but following a hug, The Boss proceeded to viciously attack Neidhart and then also RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch.
