Meghan Markle’s Best Friend Says You’re Racist if You Don’t Like the Duchess

Is it not a little racist to assume the only reason people don't like her is because of her race?

Meghan Markle’s best friend Jessica Mulroney just took to Instagram to slam the “racist bullies” who have been going after the Duchess of Sussex with “years of undeserved hate.”

Jameela Jamil Accuses British Press and Public of Racism

Fox News reported that Mulroney, who is a fashion stylist, began by reposting tweets of actress Jameela Jamil, who accused both the British press and citizens of attacking Meghan because of her race.

“Ugh. Dear England and English press, just say you hate her because she’s black, and him for marrying a black woman,” read Jamil’s tweet in part. “Your bullying is so embarrassing and obvious. You’ve all lost your marbles. It’s 2019. Grow up.”

The British actress went on to defend Meghan and Prince Harry for flying on private jets, claiming that it’s necessary that they do so.

“They are prime targets for kidnap and sometimes assassination,” Jamil added. “It’s in the interest of us civilians to not be endangered by proximity to people in such powerful positions.”

Jessica Mulroney Defends Meghan From “Racist Bullies”

Hours later, Mulroney took to Instagram herself to defend Meghan.

“When someone faces unfair criticism, you call it out,” she wrote. “When that person is your friend and your family, you call those critics what they truly are.”

“Shame on you, you racist bullies,” Mulroney added, along with the caption, “3 years of undeserved hate and abuse. It’s enough.”

Meghan and Harry have been widely criticized over the past few days for taking multiple vacations in which they jetted around the world on private planes while simultaneously lecturing everyone about helping the environment. Lucy Gilliam, the aviation and shipping officer from the campaign group Transport and Environment, told CNN that the royal couple flying private planes “sends the wrong message.”

“Private jets are similar to commercial jets except they fly with less people, so therefore the footprint (per person) is much higher,” she said. “Private jets consume 10 times more per person than commercial jets.”

Gillam went on to say that it was “valid to point out the hypocrisy of the royal families and celebrities” when it comes to their travel habits.

“It is about high time that celebrities and people who consider themselves knowledgeable about this issue actually turn to look at their own individual behaviors,” she added. “If we’re serious about tackling climate change we have to be serious… We’re not going to solve this problem if the elite are not going to change their behavior.”

Why Must Everything Be About Race?

When Meghan married Harry, she was well aware of the fact that she was signing up for a life of public scrutiny. Since her lifestyle is funded by British taxpayers, they have the right to comment on her travel and spending habits. Meghan’s race seems to be the last thing that anyone is concerned about, yet her famous liberal friends in Hollywood are still accusing anyone who dares to criticize the royal of racism.

It’s time for those close to Meghan to stop their ridiculous race-baiting and start thinking about what exactly people are criticizing her over. If Meghan and Harry don’t want to be attacked for their private jet-loving ways, perhaps they should stop lecturing the rest of us on how to live our lives when it comes to the environment.
