Liam Hemsworth Files for Divorce From Miley Cyrus

Actor Liam Hemsworth has officially filed for divorce from singer Miley Cyrus days after she was spotted making out with Kaitlynn Carter in Lake Como, Italy.

Fox News reported that Hemsworth, 29, has hired “disso queen” (as in dissolution of marriage) Laura Wasser, to represent him, but since the couple signed a prenuptial agreement, it is unlikely that the division of property will be an issue. Insiders claim that Cyrus, 26, had been trying to reconcile with Hemsworth as recently as last week, but he refused to get back with her.

“They had many happy days together in L.A. and now Liam is not around. It’s hard for her to be back in L.A. without him,” a source said of Cyrus. “This is not the situation that she wanted. She hoped they could figure things out.”

Cyrus Makes Out With Carter Again

This comes one day after Cyrus was reportedly seen “basically having sex” with Carter in a West Hollywood nightclub.

“They were obsessed with each other. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other,” a source said of Cyrus and Carter. “They were kissing and making out everywhere. In the bathroom, at the bar, in the middle of the floor. They were basically having sex. There’s no question they’re together.”

Though Cyrus also released a song hinting that Hemsworth’s love of “whiskey and pills” was to blame for their breakup, another source said that she “didn’t want to hurt” him.

“Her song was her way of telling her story without having to say anything at all. She isn’t trying to bash him, but she wants to be able to share what she’s been going through,” the source said, with another insider adding, “Miley doesn’t talk about Liam much and is not dwelling in the past. She doesn’t want to hide, and her mood has changed drastically. She seems much more relaxed and happy.”

Hemsworth Is “Devastated”

Cyrus and Hemsworth met back in 2009 on the set of the movie The Last Song, and they dated off and on for years before getting married in December of last year. Cyrus’ initial make out with Carter happened just hours after her split from Hemsworth was announced, leaving him “devastated.”

“Liam loves Miley and is hurt, but he knows that she does this,” a source said. “Miley and Liam very recently separated. Miley’s behavior is no shock to Liam. He is hurt but not surprised. The last several months they’ve been talking about taking a break. Liam’s been frustrated with some of her antics and, in turn, Miley claims she ‘needs her space.’ This seems to be a pattern in their relationship.”

Given the fact that Cyrus has continued to hook up with Carter this week, it’s clear that filing for divorce was the best thing for Hemsworth. Hopefully, he can get this divorce over with quickly and move on with his life, because he is definitely better off without someone like Cyrus.
